BC Osaka on 3340 Mall Loop Drive had finally opened this winter and my stomach was definitely in control.
Those who have been to a hibachi restaurant before know about the option of having your food cooked right before your eyes. This restaurant has this and more to offer their customers.
When you first set foot into this family style restaurant you can automatically see the buffet and sitting area. The old place has not really changed over the time that it was empty. They simply knocked out a back wall, repainted everything, and slapped a whole bunch of what seems to be Chinese/Japanese decor. And oh the aroma coming through the warm doors! Just the smells can make your stomach uncontrollable.
I had been here only once before this time, when Osaka had first opened. Let me tell you, the dinner was delectable but I was horrified when dessert rolled around! When I had my steak cooked at the hibachi table with my shrimp, noodles, and eggs they were all a little burnt, but still delicious because I seasoned it myself. The other foods on the buffet were really good as well! Everything was scolding hot and when the bowls were empty they were immediately refilled to the brims. The buffet had many choices for different palettes, from fried chicken to any type of sushi you could think of. And the desserts! Three different types of cakes, ice cream cups, and cream puffs were all offered to their patrons. I had been saving my appetite for this new restaurant so I could try many of their different flavors. Of course I stuck to Osaka's pineapple pork and pot stickers rather than the fried chicken.

I thought to myself, "I will definitely NOT be coming back here any time soon!" The manager had given us a full refund and the little puffs were pulled from the buffet. We had left with full, but apalled stomachs that night.

The cook had definitely improved from the last time we had crossed paths! He did not burn my food this time, and had added teriyaki seasoning making my two star into a four! Osaka's sushi had not changed, the fish was still delicious and the variety remained enormous.
Everything had been going well that night for my family and I. Our waitress stayed on top of things coming back to remove plates and refill drinks when we were done with both. The food also had improved from when Osaka had first opened. Nothing charred and nothing old had been consumed. There was one thing I was definitely had not been looking forward to, my old enemy: the dessert table.

This night was one to behold, my family and I even went up for seconds.
All and all, I definitely have to give BS Osaka four stars for excellent service, amazing food, and for their improvments. Any one with that craving for Chinese food should visit this buffet, for only $12 a person and being offered take out instead of eating in it is definitely worth the trip!
